Welcome to The Savants!
Hi! I’m Catherine Morris, an actress, producer, entrepreneur and mother of twins.
I grew up traveling the South, singing gospel music from a Volkswagen bus with my Bible-thumping dad and siblings. Jesus gave me an acting career working with the greats in Hollywood and a true gift to swear like a sailor.
A reluctant breeder, with all the work and fun, I gave birth late in the game to perfect twin boys who suddenly fell into the depths of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
I didn’t expect it – no one does. I am a single mother. I’m no authority on autism, but I’m a lover of women’s insight and support for fathers as well. I also love to talk about things that have nothing to do with autism. fashion. Food. Art lives.
If you are a parent in the early stages of a spectrum journey, I will walk behind you, beside you, and in front of you; I’m still going through it.
If you are autistic, I value your insights as authentic and vivid as mine. Whether you read on the spectrum or not I hope to share stories of navigating our lives.
My biggest fear has become my biggest adventure. This is the best thing that ever happened to me.
I am a savant. You are a savant. We are savants.
