There is a virus in our tax system.
A stealth virus, it had been embedded in America’s economic DNA for a century, biding its time, waiting for the right conditions to present themselves. And then we created those conditions, exposed it to infect, replicate and infect anew our culture and institutions of democracy.
An oligarchy virus.
