Only fools willfully destroy their lives. Bad habits are never intentional.
No one stands up and says:
- “From today, I will ignore people.”
- “Today seems perfect for self-defense.”
- “I think I’ll go home defeated.”
Bad habits hide in work boots.
Haste becomes suicidal. Pressure is permission to make excuses.
Destructive behavior takes root before it is recognized.
3 Reasons Root Destructive Habits
- Time pressure is an excuse for negligence. Hearing is constricted. Empathy dies. Self-reflection seems like a waste.
- Constant crisis normalizes dysfunction. Feedback replaces the objective. Confusion crushes clarity. Leadership becomes firefighting.
- Problems create false motives. You only feel valued when doing something right. Darkness prevails when problems receive more attention than progress.
