Day 3: Three Subconscious Beliefs That Can Hurt Your Life
Does your faith affect how your body feels? Yes!
Experts say that 50 to 85% of our pain is caused by emotional pain. And our beliefs have a big impact on the negative emotions we constantly experience.
Our bodies naturally want to be healthy, but painful emotions and beliefs intensify our stress levels, flooding our bodies with war-fighting chemicals and sending every cell into an unbalanced vibration.
Let’s test it. just for a minute, Remember a time that you feel guilty… Maybe you made a big mistake or hurt someone’s feelings.
Notice how your body feels. Is it exciting? Heavy? Are you suddenly noticing every ache and pain???
Can focusing on guilt possibly make you feel better? No way!
When painful emotions and limiting beliefs arise, they tune into our The Suffering Channel. There is nothing we want to see or hear on The Suffering Channel…. So let’s acknowledge what we’re feeling (so we’re not repressing how we’re feeling) and then proactively change channels!
Take a deep breath. Shake your hand. Feel your feet on the floor.
Now, remember a time when you felt calm and happy… a time when life just flowed, and you did something you were really proud of. How does your body feel now? Lighter? Happy? Does it have a little more of a healthy glow?
Do you think it’s easier for your body to heal when it’s happy or when it’s burdened with pessimistic thoughts? Obviously, we would all choose to feel happy if we could. But something “weird” is happening. And it doesn’t make sense… until you understand how and why the subconscious holds these negative energies.
Many of our beliefs are subconscious. We learned them when we were young and never questioned them. Our subconscious holds these beliefs until we consciously look at them and change them. But our subconscious can literally blind us to those beliefs if it thinks we need them: keep us safe… or That’s just the way it is.
Let’s look at three common subconscious beliefs that people hold about pain and illness.
1) I don’t expect to be cured
It may sound ridiculous to you. “Well, of course I hope to recover! Otherwise why would I be reading this?!?”
But if some part of you learns this belief, it can hinder your progress. Try saying that out loud and see if it has any sense of truth… anywhere in your body.
If this sounds true on any level, ask yourself where you learned it. Have you seen someone fail to heal at a young age? Do you think that you are not strong enough? Are you “too old” to heal? By tapping into these limiting beliefs, you clear the way for more relief.

2) I deserve to be punished
If a part of you thinks you’ve done something terrible, you may believe you need to be punished. How good it is to punish someone the pain?
Pain prevents you from doing the things you love or connecting with your loved ones.
Try saying out loud, “I deserve to be punished” and see if it rings true in your body.
Any thoughts or memories that come up? Why do you deserve to be punished? If your best friend did the same thing, under the same circumstances, would you hold him accountable to the same degree?
By tapping into the reasons why you “deserve” punishment, you’ll find clarity and understanding (and even A dose of self-forgiveness)

3) It’s not fair!
If a part of you is very angry and frustrated that you are suffering and unable to do what you want, then there is too much energy tied up in your destructive emotions. Constantly struggling with feelings of injustice stresses the body and makes it harder to heal.
You might say, “Of course I’m angry! That’s not right!”
We are certainly not here to tell you that you deserve pain! But tapping into the anger and unfairness of the situation can soften the feelings and reduce stress on your body and mind. When you’re not fighting feelings, you can often find new ways to look at problems and find relief from what you thought you were.
At the very least, relaxation helps your body feel calmer and use its energy to get better instead of resisting the experience.

These are just three common limiting beliefs. Humans are capable of any number of them. A big problem with subconscious beliefs is that we don’t even know they’re there! That’s when an instructor, a tapping buddy, or listening to a recording on the subject can help. By tapping into and releasing your limiting beliefs, you open the door to letting go of your body’s aches and pains and moving toward a healthier, happier you.
