Restore your joy! – Rich now

We are all capable of joy. That open, carefree smile, that simple curiosity…

And it’s hard to be happy when the primitive brain is scared and fearful.

We talked about how the primitive brain takes first dibs on all resources, so it can help you survive. The primitive brain, when it fears that something is possibly life-threatening, does not allow your resources to play or laugh. Most people’s primitive brains are very reactive — seeing danger all around… when there’s really room for a lot of safety and joy. It doesn’t seem right.

When you soothe the primitive brain, give it mental exercise like we do Reprogram your primal brainAnd strengthen its understanding, there is much more room for joy.

In fact, the natural vitality and joy you already have inside of you can bubble up when fear doesn’t drain and stuff more of your energy.

How would your life be better if you could reclaim that joy? If the heaviness and anxiety were a little less … wouldn’t it be easier to smile and communicate with loved ones? Won’t the heaviness of everyday life be lifted?

First… take a deep breath and stay with your body and your feelings for a moment. Does it feel safe to let this heaviness and anxiety rise? Does it feel safe? something Does it lift?

Many have the habit of thinking and focusing on problems. For others, it makes them feel “safer” in some way. Maybe they learned that if they were serious, they got into less trouble from an overtired parent… or their teachers gave them the benefit of the doubt.

There is nothing wrong with being serious or focused. They are important powers. But… When people use negative thinking and gravity as a way to feel “grounded” or safe, it’s a sign that the primitive brain is stuck.

All emotions and energies are useful (even if some of them hurt sometimes). They are part of life. It’s when people have to use them or sometimes they don’t need to use them that emotions cause a problem… acting as a parking brake as opposed to pleasure.

Letting go of anxiety and letting calm focus come in is a powerful way to increase your vitality and productivity. Releasing negative beliefs and allowing playfulness and fun can allow you to enjoy life more and allow others to do the same. People love hanging out with someone who helps them rediscover the fun in life. People need you!

Let’s do something about it touch About this:

Hand Direction (Karate Chop): Although I often feel anxious and overwhelmed, I invite my primal brain to take a deep breath… and realize that we are actually quite safe.

Although I have a habit of focusing on the negative… most people do! I am open to expressing it and letting out my bubble of joy.

Although I sometimes substitute heavy feelings for being really grounded… I’d rather let my natural focus come in as I calm my primal brain.

Above the head: I don’t feel as happy as I should.
Eyebrows: I let myself get quite serious and heavy.
Eye direction: I am anxious and stressed…
Under the eyes: And my primitive brain can get stuck in that cycle.
Under the nose: I can miss things going right in my life.
Chin: I may miss opportunities for joy and play.
Collarbone: I invite my primitive brain to find a new balance.
Underarm: I am interested in being more curious.

Above the head: It worked to be serious and concerned.
Eyebrows: It helped my parents know I was paying attention.
Eye direction: This would let my teachers know that I was a “good student”.
Under the eyes: It helped my bosses feel they could trust me.
Under the nose: Have a serious and concerned purpose.
Chin: And so play and laugh.
Collarbone: I let my primal brain know it could do a good job…
Underarm: Even if you play sometimes.

Above the head: How can I let that joy be inside me?
Eyebrows: Sometimes I can not find!
Eye direction: I’ve pushed it down for so long…
Under the eyes: And now I welcome it.
Under the nose: I remind my primal brain that it’s safe to play…
Chin: And I call joy and laughter.
Collarbone: Please come back and help me connect to life.
Underarm: Help me to play others too.
Above the head: I am ready to claim more of my joy… more every day!

Take a deep breath.
