Have you been thinking about me?

This was written by a woman on r/adultery She wrote an anonymous love letter to her former relationship partner.

I felt it. I wonder if an ex-lover is thinking about me.

What does he remember?
Or were we gone within moments of the ending?

I hoped I would find his memory. He will never forget me. From me, of course. Her “real life” has finally taken over – that or another lover. Probably both, honestly.

I was important to him during our relationship.

Did I pull on his heart after it was over?

may be maybe not I know I could write this love letter almost verbatim (no mustache and big hair) but all the feelings are included. Things like peanut butter and chocolate and remembering go together (and I don’t want you to know if you don’t like Reese’s).

“And it’s not very nice to think about
There was always something
invisible string
binding you to me?”

Taylor Swift had a point.

It was sweet to think that we had a connection that could not be severed. They are permanent. Unfortunately, I don’t think most relationships work that way. It makes for a nice pop song, but the connection doesn’t stand the test of time.

After all, she wrote it for an ex-boyfriend.
They both became new partners.
Joe Alwin is now just a memory. He was replaced by Travis Kelce.

Is everyone expendable?

The cynic in me says absolutely. There is no love that can beat time. Still, there are some who buck the odds.

“Hell was the journey, but it brought me heaven,” he wrote in Invisible Strings.

In some respects, hell is remembered. “What could have been” scenarios played out endlessly. This adulterous woman remembered her lover with kindness and compassion. He hoped she was happy.

What was she?

Where was his heart?
I wonder what.
