What do you do when your self-judgments get in the way of tapping? It’s not fun to do anything when you feel constantly criticized!
No one is grading you. if you Grading you, now is a great time to learn to be gentle with yourself. You can’t get it wrong!
Your technique will become your favorite with time and practice. So sit back and enjoy the process, both learning and feeling.
And if it seems as impossible as flying to the moon, tap away with whatever angry, judgmental thoughts pop into your head.
– Tap into your frustration that nothing worked.
– Get in touch with your feelings that you can never fix.
– Tap into your belief that, “It won’t work, because nothing works for me… even though it works for everyone else!”
Tap with whatever word appears. Tap with whatever sounds appear. Or, tap on Silent Fuming. Tap into silent suffering.
You can feel your guilt and shame and guilt and failure making you irredeemable… making it impossible for you to heal or get this right. But you can’t say wrong things when you tap.
Try this:
Karate Chop: Even though I feel worthless at times, I am still in the process of accepting myself deeply and completely.
Even though anyone who accepts me doesn’t know me, I’m at least open to the remote possibility of feeling accepted.
Even though I feel so wrong, I want to know… somewhere inside me… some place still clear and untouched by pain… that I’m okay.
Above the head: I felt so wrong.
Eyebrows: I have failed at times.
Eye direction: I have become a criminal.
Under the eyes: I have done wrong.
Under the nose: I have been wronged.
Chin: I felt wrong.
Collarbone: I know shame.
Underarm: And I’m sorry.
Above the head: It’s time for me to heal.
Eyebrows: I accept my feelings.
Eye direction: I choose healing.
Under the eyes: i’m ok
Under the nose: i feel good
Chin: I am taking positive action.
Collarbone: i am relaxing
Underarm: I’m finding myself.
Above the head: And I choose to continue the process of deeply and fully accepting myself… no matter what.
And take a big, deep breath…
Notice what special thoughts or memories come up around this tapping. They are great places to get some more work done!
Expressing that inner judgment will not only help your tapping, it will give you back the freedom to be more creative and spontaneous… because That inner judge can hold us back! If we are afraid to try new things because we will be criticized, it is difficult to move forward and succeed.
we tend We easily believe negative things about ourselves. Sometimes we use that fear and self-doubt to drive ourselves. That’s the only way we can think of.
The truth is, we create much better when we are calm and relaxed. And the stress of driving ourselves can make us sick and tired. What prevents you from seeing yourself in a better light?
This can help to understand how the brain is affected by trauma from the past. our Primitive brain Can hold onto experience. Sometimes that part of our brain (the part that is ready to survive) jumps to conclusions and doesn’t let go. Tapping is the best way we know how to help transform trapped energy. We have a free 15 minute video tutorial on Thriving Now that explains the process. You can see this:
