Instead of fixing… allowing – now thriving

The unseen, inner intelligence that keeps our hearts beating is the same intelligence that can restore our health—even if that restoration takes time. miraculous. But it is not an intelligence that can be forced. It defies our attempts to “fix” and cut corners. In the years that I have observed the healing process in myself and others, I have noticed that true healing seems to be a process to allow.

When we reach a state of readiness to “do what needs to be done,” we often feel impatient. We want to feel good; We really do! But the distance between where we are and where we want to be seems long… too long. We are sometimes not sure we still have the strength to do it. I’ve been there. It’s both a great place to be and the worst place to be. It’s great because we feel a glimmer of hope. It’s the worst because we still have all the doubts, fears, frustrations and self-criticism. And we don’t want to fail again. Yet, despite all these fears, this is an important milestone as we reach the threshold where we are ready to take effective, sustained action. And those are learning one of karma The Art of Allowing.

If you listen to your body, you can learn to see just how much, really well It can feel…even when you still carry the “label” of your illness. For example, after a session EFT You can feel peace for three whole minutes! If you haven’t experienced inner peace in years, three minutes of peace is a big deal! It should be celebrated! Poems written about it. Family and friends should throw you a party!

Allow yourself to enjoy feeling good! But the feeling will go away. And the habits of thought and mental focus that led you to a desperate place will come back and cause pain again. OK! You are learning. You are building emotional resilience. And if you can permission By teaching yourself emotional self-management skills, and letting go of your need for immediate, complete relief, you’ll find that The road back to optimal health May be the most memorable and inspiring time of your life.

But how do you manage “down time”? The healing process is not linear, straight to heaven. There will be cycles of emotional highs and lows. (Some people whose cycles are particularly intense may even be labeled “bi-polar.”) As a strength coach, labels don’t mean much to me, and ups and downs are a normal part of life. I work on focusing your attention using EFT on negative emotions and help you use positive choices and praise to focus on feeling good. You deserve to feel good!

I encourage clients Allow the healing process to unfoldAccording to their own internal intelligence pace. I get a lot of resistance to this idea, with good reason. By the time most people find EFT and or consider using a Sensory Freedom Trainer, they have been struggling for a long time. I hear many people say, “I’m at the end of my rope!” I say, “Well, stop trying to climb the rope! If climbing the rope to the top of the mountain is too difficult, try something simpler – like EFT, meditation, prayer, and walking for joy. Let go, and Relaxing in wellness. Let the goodness flow back into you and through you.” “No! I can’t wait that long! I want to know the shortcut!” If that’s how you feel, consider this story I wrote years ago at a time when I was starting to feel impatient with myself:

Early one morning a little boy set out to visit his grandmother, who lived ten miles away. The road he walked on was well worn from 200 years of travel. After a few miles of his journey he came to a point where the road made a wide bend. The young boy could see his destination just a short distance away, across a beautiful meadow of flowers and tall green grass. The boy thought how stupid It was that many people went miles out of their way instead of just cutting across the meadow. He was too smart for that! He departed for one run. “Oh, that’s so good!” He thought… just before he tripped and fell to the ground. The beautiful ground cover consisted of sticky vines covered with thorns. As he struggled to free his legs, they tore off his hands. An hour later, exhausted and bloody, he sat down on an old log to catch his breath. As he began to relax, the first bee stung him. Within moments, he was stung a hundred times. He screamed and ran, and escaped the angry mob. He came to a small pond with the most inviting blue water he had ever seen. It smells nice, too. He drank deeply, only to convulse in pain as his body rejected the toxic liquid. Many hours later, he found himself slogging through waist-deep mud. The green grasses that flowed across the meadow looked so inviting, hiding a swamp so dirty and dirty that he longed for the smell of a fresh skunk to soothe his nose. As night falls, the boy finally emerges from the “beautiful” meadow and walks a short distance down the road to his grandmother’s house. He was met at the door quite worried. When he saw his condition, he smiled and said, “Ah! I see you took a shortcut.”

Wanting to feel hope again in the midst of their impatience, clients often ask how long I think the process will take for them. I honestly answer, “Lifetime and beyond.” We are never done. That said, with a few EFT sessions, you can learn how to soothe yourself and even release and heal some old wounds. You can learn to feel the sensations of peace and hope again, even if only for a few moments.

Keep at it, and a year or two down the road, you’ll surprise yourself with how far you’ve come. And when you learn to allow, as you learn to let go and let your inner guidance guide you back to health, you will realize that you are thriving… even if all the pain is not gone… yet!

I have been on my conscious healing journey for over 15 years. It led me to wonderful people who became my teachers and lifelong friends. I have no doubt that the process can be faster and less painful for you if you employ EFT (which I never had until a few years ago). We can now resolve specific painful memories in hours with EFT… instead of years of talk therapy or waiting a lifetime for the truth that “time heals all wounds.” EFT certainly makes the journey easier! We can even combine EFT with exercise, massage and physical activity, meditation, prayer, singing, dancing, breathing, visualization, yoga… anything!… to connect more strongly with the source of our ultimate well-being. It is the divine source that restores miraculous strength and vibrant health to our body, mind and soul. We just need to allow it. You deserve to feel good! You deserve to experience God! And you will.
