When I think about my goals for the week, I naturally find myself reflecting: “I wonder how many I can actually accomplish.” Like most people, I have some level of awareness that days can — and will be – interrupted

From illness to low energy to sudden administrative emergencies, we generally appreciate it Life sometimes throws our plans out the windowAnd although we can’t keep an exact time buffer in our calendar to account for them, we usually adjust enough to them to a certain degree.
For many days and weeks – but what about our nights? when i Wake up with a headacheI’m really interested in feeling upset. When I spend a good part of the night lost in thought instead of dreams, it can reverberate throughout the rest of the day.
But even a night can go badly, although it happens less at night than during the day. A plan that doesn’t change—about eight hours of restful sleep—won’t prevent the occasional flare-up.
No one expects to wake up from a nightmare, or with a pounding head, or be very tired when they want to. Yet these things, like rush hour traffic, slow checkout clerks and unexpected phone calls, happen every day Perhaps we should adjust our nightly expectations.
You are a trooper when it comes to navigating the entropy of everyday life. You fight distractions, maneuver around obstacles and maneuver on the shoulder like a pro. Take your bedtime disturbances in stride. Don’t let being back in the real world deter you from your mission, or at least not from the soul you wanted to approach it with when you went to bed.
Lower your expectations for the night. Anytime of the day plans are cheap, and the important part is that you drive — Even when it’s dark.
