Recently, someone asked, “Is it easy to love God?”
But the question is not about what is easy.
Because love drives away the mind that asks if it is easy or hard. And it can seem easy to choose an idea that doesn’t challenge you.
Asking if love is easy means that salt wants to merge into the ocean without losing itself, yet wants to be the ocean. How is that possible?
This separation becomes easier in love.
And when it hurts, it feels like dying.
But that no Degrading people’s love.
Yes, most people just love too much.
Care from a distance that will not cause them discomfort. Carefully open only those parts that preserve their dignity. Showing strength and hiding what is ugly.
It helps maintain energy dynamics.
But love something from deep in their soul. Their love seems crazy and overwhelms most people who love only from a surface boundary.
And when these people are abandoned, the pain hits the deepest. Cast into the deepest abyss.
Once, I was on vacation with my then partner and a common friend (who happens to be a spiritual mentor to others).
A common friend asked, “Why don’t you get married?”
I said, she doesn’t want to get married.
He said, “Then play love like a game.”
I was shocked to hear the words. game? Love?
My heart knew only surrender and devotion. What is a game?
After a few years he left me for someone else. Maybe because I didn’t play it as a game at all. lol
And when you give yourself completely to another, and when they leave, it feels like your heart has been taken out and burned while it still has some breath left.
The pain is unbearable.
And we question why love hurts.
Instinctively, when this molten lava boils the soul, many people close their beautiful hearts because they have learned cruelly that opening means hurt and abandonment. Showing your true vulnerability means playing and smarting out. And you learn that people treat you like garbage when you let others see you as you are. When you bow, they will cut them.
Then, love becomes a dangerous word. A dangerous playground you’ll never set foot in again.
But the reality is that love so deep that bowing down to a flawed human being is nothing short of a miracle.
Love that opens the thick shield of pride. A love that makes your soul weak and shaky is nothing short of pure.
Yes, there will be conditions if not enlightenment, even if subtle. This is why it breaks our hearts.
but In that love the essence of the divine is unknown.
