A mix of edge-of-your-seat suspense, supernatural horror, and emotional family drama, the film follows Dean Richardson, who tries to rebuild a relationship with his estranged twelve-year-old son Wyatt, a troubled army veteran, after the sudden death of his ex-wife.


Their journey takes a terrifying turn when they stop at a remote backwoods town that whispers around the word Croatone. After a brutal murder leaves Dean as the prime suspect and Wyatt suddenly disappears, he’s forced into an uneasy alliance with seasoned detective Douglas O’Shea and rookie detective St. Clair as unexplained deaths, disappearances and unlikely encounters sweep across the region.


As evidence points to something far older and more sinister than a simple murder investigation, Dean races to uncover the truth behind the legend before an ancient evil claims another victim.

Movie Synopsis: Dean Richardson, a troubled army veteran living alone in Georgia, travels to North Carolina after the sudden death of his ex-wife. After the funeral, she brings her estranged twelve-year-old son Wyatt home with him in hopes of rebuilding their broken relationship.


Their journey takes an unexpected turn when they stop at a small backwoods town haunted by whispers surrounding the mysterious word “CROATOAN”. After encountering restless locals and witnessing increasingly strange occurrences, Dean finds himself caught up in a growing nightmare when a motel clerk is brutally murdered and becomes the prime suspect.
