We need a little bit more wild

Stop and think for a second – when do you feel most yourself?

I feel most at home in the bush, surrounded by imposing peaks and steep cliffs. i feel for free When I throw on my camo, put my bow over my shoulder and go in search of food. At the end of the day, I can feel peace sitting in front of the fire, alone or with company.

My mind is fixed.

I don’t get it in my daily life. I can work hard, I can be productive, I can the bust I am all day, and yet, at the end of the day when it’s time to wind down I find my mind going a million miles an hour. I find myself checking my phone for ghost notifications. scrolling. Googling nonsense, whittling down the time before I go to sleep.

Obviously, you’re not me, but here’s my reasoning: Everyone needs a bit of wildness, a reset, and more than they think.

One of the joys of my life is taking people from city camping, helping them set up their tents or swag, starting fires and introducing them to the outdoors.

Some people like art, or architecture, nice clothes, suits or fancy food. everyone Appreciate mother nature. When we walk through the bush, I will hear’How great it is’, And smile no matter who you are, you are at home.

they are. After years in the city, they see someone’s face light up as they gaze at the galaxy, feeling so small, so whole.

I would set the chairs with our backs to the fire so we could stay warm and the fire wouldn’t block our view from above.

When you escape the city lights, the hustle and bustle, the constant racket of humanity and find solace in the bush, you slow down and watch the greatest show on Earth, as the stars slowly move forward. As your eyes begin to adjust, you’ll realize that the more you look, the more spots you have.

When a guest from town goes home, they are wrapped. Time spent sleeping on the ground, walking through the bush, getting back to basics gave them a new perspective. They feel a freshness beyond what their daily life can give them. Detox from technology and a little rewiring has renewed their energy as only Mother Nature can.

They may not have slept the most, they may have walked more than they have in years, and they may have eaten more of the basics than they care to remember.

And they do everything they say.
